Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death worldwide, responsible for about one-third of all deaths. In the light of the changing landscape of cardiac diseases epidemiology, conventional imaging techniques are no longer effective for diagnosis, risk assessment, and patient management. In contrast, quantitative PET provides absolute measurements that can help tackle these challenges and significantly improve patient care.
