A New Cyclone® KIUBE to be installed in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil
R2IBF signed a contract with IBA for the company's new plant in Mogi das Cruzes to have the most modern cyclotron in Latin America; a Cyclone® KIUBE. It is a18MeV cyclotron with a current up to 300µA. With this excellent and modern cyclotron, the company will have the capacity to produce twice as much 18F, in the same irradiation time, as the current cyclotrons existing in the country. The Cyclone® KIUBE also offers the possibility to choose the energy from 13 to 18MeV, which will allow the production of new isotopes. R2IBF is contributing to Brazilian Nuclear Medicine and preparing itself to increasingly and better serve patients who need this technology
