Two Cyclone® KIUBE rigged at BV Cyclotron in new Amsterdam UMC Imaging Center!

Last week 2 Cyclone® KIUBE were rigged at BV Cyclotron’s new facility within Amsterdam UMC Imaging Center. The contract was signed in March 2018 and both cyclotrons are already placed into their vault.

Already equipped with 3 Cyclone®18 installed at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, BV Cyclotron currently produces radiopharmaceuticals for more than 50,000 patients annually worldwide! The new Amsterdam UMC Imaging Center will allow an increased production and the development of novel tracers and testing for leading international biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

“We have been using IBA cyclotrons since 1997. The cyclotrons demonstrate market leading reliability and the customer support we receive from IBA is excellent,” said Erik Van Lier, Managing Director BV Cyclotron VU, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. “It was therefore an obvious choice to purchase two new Cyclone® KIUBE cyclotrons, 180μA and 300μA, considering their outstanding performance and technology.”
